booking
how and when should i book?
Booking can be made via the contact form through the website or by direct messaging social media platforms. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session, with the final balance due on the day.
If you are thinking about a newborn session, you can book in advance after your 20 week scan. I can only fit in a set number of newborns each month so it best to plan ahead. I can provisionally book sessions 2 weeks before and after your due date, with us finalising the session properly when the baby is here. Sessions are best done for baby in the first three weeks.
Birthday sessions should be booked to take place the month before their birthday to ensure images are edited and returned in time.
cancellation/late policy
What happens if we need to cancel?
I understand that emergencies arise at any time or someone can fall ill. Please let me know as early as possible so I can try to move your session. This excludes themed mini sessions. If this needs to be moved a second time, another deposit will be required to secure your session. Please be mindful that last minute cancellations mean I often can't fill the session and this impacts my business income.
Sometimes we're against the clock and we don't always get from A to B on time.. Please try not to worry, I won't turn you away from your session and we will still capture some great images! I will however, need to deduct time to ensure this doesn't have a knock on effect on other clients with sessions that day.

i'm worried my child won't cooperate
This isn't something you need to worry about. Sessions are child led and sometimes they need a bit of time to warm up! I am a teacher alongside photographer and I work with children of different age and need on a daily basis. With patience and a little bit of magic, I can often get the shots!
If your child/family member has additional needs and may not adapt as quickly as others, please do let me know at the time of booking. I will often secure your session last in the day or where I have a break to take off the pressure of time constraints. It's less pressure for both you and them and means we can work with the child at their own pace to ensure you leave with a gallery you love.
final edits
when will i receive my photos and what if i want to buy more?
Your first drafts will be sent to you within a few days after your session. Your package will include a set number of images, this is listed on the sessions page and will be in the instructional email. Additional images are completely optional and you don't need to commit to anything until after you have viewed your proof gallery. If you decide to purchase more, digital images are charged at £10 each with discounts available for more than 5, 15 etc. No additional payment needs to be made until I have finalised your edits. I will get in contact when they are ready to be sent to invoice any outstanding balance. Final galleries are advertised with a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks from the date of you choosing your favourites. I endeavour to work much quicker than this but exam season at my teaching job and busier photo periods like Christmas may have an impact on timescales.
